"Mrs. Noodle emerged as a conduit for joy and humor," says set designer and artist Molly Findlay. Undeniably silly in their abstraction, yet refined in their construction, the 20 foot-long pillows are made in the U.S. from Belgian cotton velvet and sustainably harvested kapok fiber filling. Findlay first learned of the Kapok tree while traveling in the Amazon rainforest. Regarded as the Spirit Tree of the Amazon, the trees produce giant seed pods filled with silky, anti-microbial, cotton-like fiber that fall gently to the ground for harvesting, while its extensive root system serves as a communication tool for indigenous people; one tap travels for miles. The Kapok tree's gentle, spiritual, and connective qualities are also found in Findlay's Mrs. Noodle pillows: Twist, tangle, tie! Sit, stretch, snake! An invitation to play and relax into Mrs. Noodle's larger-than-life size possibilities.
